Beginning with hourglass dulcimer #750, a new design was released that allows you maximum flexibility on string arrangement.  The diagram below shows possible configurations for the 4 string model.  For the 3 string model, the string slots specifically for 4 string are removed.  The bridge intonation is set for all these combinations.
